چکیده

In this Letter, we present the third kind of Darboux transformation of the classical Boussinesq system, and discuss its relationship with the two basic Darboux transformations. By applying the Darboux transformations, we obtain the solutions of multiple soliton interactions, including overtaking and head-on collisions.  2001 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.

Analysis of DNA chains by means of factorial moments

1 Analysis of DNA Chains by Means of Factorial Moments Huijie Yang Fangcui Zhao Physics Institute, Hebei University of Technology, Tianjin 300130, China Yizhong Zhuo Xizhen Wu China Institute of Atomic Energy, Beijing 102413, P.O.X 275(18), China Abstract By means of the concept of factorial moments we examine DNA sequences from yeast to distinguish coding and non-coding regions. It is found th...

Entropy concepts and DNA investigations

Topological and metric entropies of the DNA sequences from different organisms were calculated. Obtained results were compared each other and with ones of corresponding artificial sequences. For all envisaged DNA sequences there is a maximum of heterogeneity. It falls in the block length interval [5,7]. Maximum distinction between natural and artificial sequences is shifted on 1-3 position from...

Network of Hydrogen Bonds as a Medium for DNA Interaction in Solvents

We suggest that the DNA molecules could form the cholesteric phase owing to an interaction mediated by the network of the hydrogen bonds (H-network) in the solvent. The model admits of the dependence of the optical activity of the solution on the concentration of the PEG, and the change in the sense of the cholesteric twist due to the intercalation by the daunomicyn. Using the experimental data...

Fused silica fibers with a dumbbell-shaped diameter profile are proposed to simultaneously achieve low thermal noise and low vertical bounce frequency in an interferometric gravitational wave detector. We present a theoretical analysis of achievable noise spectra. We also survey the sources of dissipation in fused silica fibers. Finally, we apply the model to analyze the influence of welded end...

Self-organization of hierarchical structures in nonlocally coupled replicator models

We study a simple replicator model with non-symmetric and nonlocal interactions. Hierarchical structures with prey-predator relations are self-organized from a homogeneous state, induced by the dynamical instability of nonlinear interactions.
